Almost 70 years ago Clyda and Veon were married. That union is why we are all here. This blog is created to capture our thoughts and help us get to know each other better. There will be a new question posted each Sunday until December. Please use contributors first names only. If you are posting anonymously please add your first name to the text. Enjoy!
Attention everyone...Marilyn has a WEB PAGE !! You can check it out at www.marilynsmithartist.com!
Nicole, please publish the following disclaimer in a prominent place:
I hesitated to make long narratives with these posts, but Nicole said she might put the whole blog thing into a book form someday, and I could use this as a forum for writing for my kids and grandkids. I can’t pass up an opportunity like that. So rather than bore you, feel free to skip anything you’re not interested in or don’t want to be bothered to read. Sonja
Note from Nicole:
I am happy to do this for anybody that is interested. I am enjoying hearing from each of you and would love to hear from more. Thanks Sonja for taking the time to work on this and giving us an opportunity to get to know you better.

All I have to say is PFFFFF! Well, of course I did. I've always been a really bad liar. I get a guilty conscience. So, I think I confessed to my mom at least at some point, usually shortly after I did it if she didn't already figure it out herself.

Of course, I NEVER did!!!!!
Nope. Never. ;)

I guess that depends on the perspective. It never OCCURRED to me to be rebellious! But I was born asking questions, and from Daddy's perspective, that was as close to rebellious as it got from his daughters - and I took the prize! If you can't play with face cards, give me a rationale (besides "obedience" that doesn't count as an answer). I didn't start my adolescent rebellion until my 30's - and haven't finished yet. But what I know now, that I didn't know before, is that what "rebellion" really is, is PROTEST - usually of something that needs protesting. That's what teen agers are for!

I guess that depends on who you ask...My 'problem' has never been a rebellious nature but my big mouth!
I was a perfect conformist so never did anything rebellious. Long hair, ugly clothes to adult standards, not doing school work because the teacher was demanding or cutting classes don't count for that is normal.
Anyway, older brothers and sisters teaching these skills made this a normal family event.

I think the meanest thing I did was when my mother's brother came to stay at our home one summer and he bought himself a cigar to show how mature he was. He'd just smoked part of it and he put out the flame and put it up in the rafters in the cellar. My brother and I found it and stirred a cowpie with it then we put it back up there. He was pretty mad but he couldn't do anything about it because he would have caught hell from my father for putting a cigar up there.
Clyda (again)
Nic-- Put the two Clyda responses together. I thought she was done but was wrong. :)
