Besides dust, I can't say I have a real collection of anything. Some coins, and if tools count, then I collect them. Once in a while they may even get used.
I try to collect or gain positive experiences or memories. Nadia has even taught me how to make what could be thought of as a negative experience, be a good experience.

Evan, are you talking about making a specific bad experience a good one, or has Nadia taught you how to generally change your outlook of bad experiences?

As for collections: I used to collect dolls, but since we didn't have much money they were not collectors items, really, just cheap stuff. But mother loved dolls and got me interested in them too. She used to make cloth dolls - each of my girls got one from her. (I think Jennifer still has hers). My last Christmas at home, before I got married, mother bought a big doll from DI and made a pretty, frilly organdy dress and slip for it. I loved it. I can't remember anything else I ever got - except for the "twin" rubber dolls I got when I was very young. One was pink, the other was chocolate brown. (That's why I put quotes around "twin"). I collect little serious-looking pigs, old glass opium bottles, and anything SMALL. Beads are good for small places. I have a lot of really old beads used in slave trading. Then, there are probably a lot of other stuff as the old rules states"three of anything is the beginning of a collection" Marilyn

If Marilyn is right then I collect kids. I don't collect too much because we have a small house but someday when we are more settled I would like to have a collection of classic movies and soundtracks.

Behind my house was a big open gravel field, and thanks to Great-grandma (Clyda), I used to collect pretty rocks or rocks of interesting shapes from the field. I always loved the jewelry grandma gave me. I also collected sea shells because my mom and dad brought home for me seashells from Texas, Hawaii, California, etc.

Sonja - In answer to question:
I am talking generally. Take any negative moment and look for the positive learnings from it.
Such as learning to see the positive aspects of an opera.....

I collect paper-weights and rocks. If I could collect anything, it would be more sunshine I guess. Anything in nature, I like.

I like to collect refrigerator magnets from the places I go to, and I have a bunch of ducks in various forms that people have given me. Other than that, I don't really collect anything.
